Since forming at the University of Southern California in 2018, the Egon Duo has performed over 25 concerts for organizations including the Pasadena Showcase House, Huntington Gardens, and the Desert Hot Springs Classics Series. Passionate about accessibility to classical music in underserved communities, they have also given dozens of performances through the Thornton Community Engagement Program at USC. In 2022, they were invited to provide a performance and chamber music class on Astor Piazzolla’s “Histoire du Tango” for the prestigious online platform tonebase.

Dr. Marley Eder leads a multifaceted career as a performer and educator. He currently serves as 2nd flute/piccolo of Symphony San Jose, principal flute of San Luis Obispo Symphony, and regularly performs with orchestras throughout the southwest. As a substitute flute and piccolo player with the LA Phil, he has performed over 140 concerts over the past three years and can be heard on several releases including the recent album Khatchaturian – Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Dudamel & the LA Phil on the label Decca. Additionally, he has performed with the San Francisco Symphony and the London Symphony Orchestra, with whom he filled in on same-day notice to perform 2nd flute under Sir Simon Rattle during their North American tour in 2022.
Eder is currently faculty teaching flute at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at CSU Long Beach, Santa Monica College, Glendale Community College, and Orange County School of the Arts. He completed his Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Southern California, and received his previous degrees from the Butler School of Music at the University of Texas (BM) and Louisiana State University (MM).

With 113 music awards, Dr. Mircea Gogoncea is one of the world's most highly acclaimed guitarists. He has performed over 450 concerts on 5 continents, and he is the current principal classical guitar lecturer at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music. His awards include the 1st Prize at the Julián Arcas competition, 1st Prize at the Guitar Foundation of America Youth Competition, and the 2nd & Audience Prize at the Francisco Tárrega competition. He holds 6 university degrees, including a Doctor of Musical Arts from the USC Thornton School of Music. He graduated with honors from the Advanced Diploma program of the Royal Academy of Music in London.
Prior to UCLA, he was Head of Content at tonebase, the world's leading institution for online classical music education. There, he oversaw strategy, artist bookings, video production and post-production, while managing a team of videographers, editors, and engravers. Previously, he co-created and hosted tonebase Live.
